Wanted Records
opened in August of 2009, just as many record shops were closing around Bristol. Run by vinyl addicts, we have tried to create a shop we would like to visit ourselves, one where condition is consistent, whilst the stock is varied, interesting and regularly updated. Most importantly, where the very best stock is available to whoever walks in, not hidden away or online. As a result ,we have rapidly become the default Bristol destination for collectors and dealers worldwide.
We opened our new shop in 2022, with the same ethos but four times the space. The wider range of titles with room to browse and extra listening deck has been warmly welcomed.
In Wanted you won't find record store day novelties, endless racks of charity shop fodder or records fit for the bin. What you will find is a constantly changing wall of clean rarities, realistic prices, welcoming unpatronising staff, even a coffee if you're in for a session! The stock is overwhelmingly second-hand, we stock a few new titles from interesting independents, labels such as Jazzman, Analog Africa, Trunk etc. We have a long background in the music industry and an extensive knowledge within our areas of musical interest, feel free to pick our brains to root out what floats your boat.
We travel far and wide to source stock, as well as buying in-store for cash or exchange. If you're stuck for a gift, we sell gift tokens to any amount. By all means ring or come in to discuss selling your records, there's no pressure to sell and no deal's struck until we're both happy. We have had a stream of repeat customers and referrals over the years and take pride in fair trading and customer satisfaction.
